Tambalane:
Self Titled
INDEPENDENT
Tambalane’s
debut record is like a mixed
bag of
lollies
- some you’ll relish while
others will leave a bad taste
in your mouth.
There isn't one exact sound that
could be tacked onto Tambalane.
Their debut skips between polished
pop, raw folk, 70s glam rock
and beautiful ditties that will
make you smile.
Stand out tracks for me are 'Back
To You', 'Little Miss Liar',
'All Wounds Heal', 'Become',
'Dreammaker', and 'Mannequin
Parade'.
For me these tracks really give
the band a chance to show off
and present music that not only
sounds brilliant, but actually
sounds a little different to
the norm.
Tambalane's debut slides brilliantly
between the decades where The
Beatles,
Queen, Travis, and The Verve
were in vogue, while still managing
to create their own style with
an Australian flavour.
